Who are we?
Specialist in the design of biological automatons.
This project was initially developed in response to an urgent need for research on the biology of embryonic development. However, the functions of most of these genes are not yet known and require extensive research using complex laboratory techniques.
The biotechnology company, Flogentec based in Valence has followed this research and has become, thanks to the Flo 400, a leading company in the development, manufacture and distribution of devices for the automation of complex protocols in biochemistry, molecular biology, and experimental biology.
Several years of experience must have been necessary for Flogentec’s team, composed of engineers, biologists and scientists, to develop this method. This has made it possible to guarantee a high level of expertise in the automation of high throughput biology techniques, such as in situ hybridization.
From these years of Research and Development, Flo400 was created in 2008. It is a small laboratory automaton performing in situ hybridization and immunocytometry techniques on 3D biological samples. It will process 40 large biological samples per experiment, using 4 different RNA probes.
